MISSION STATEMENT

Ohio AEYC is the premier membership organization and voice of

early care and education professionals in Ohio.

VISION

Ohio AEYC is a dynamic and collaborative professional organization

intent on addressing local, state and national issues affecting our members.

By increasing the number, scope and involvement of our membership,

Ohio AEYC serves as an energizing and empowering force in the lives of Ohio's early childhood professionals.

KEY MESSAGES

We will move vision to reality through "living" our key messages in all of our daily interactions by

serving as the voice of early childhood professionals and providing our members with opportunities to:
-- Express your voice.
-- Engage in a professional community.
-- Influence the future of early childhood.

 CORE VALUES

In our efforts to focus on the results that will most effectively serve our members,

Ohio AEYC will operate with an emphasis on decisions made with:

Knowledge:
• Decisions are made using knowledge rather than opinion.
• All members have the responsibility to ask questions to gain

clarification and knowledge especially when something is stated that may seem counter to your experience.
• Statements made to influence decisions must be knowledge-based statements rather than personal opinions.

Trust:
• Must always operate in a state of trust.
• Assume good intentions.
• Time is reserved to build relationships in order to be open and honest in conversations and work.

Nimbleness:
•More knowlege requires the ability to respond based on new information and to make whatever changes are needed.
